"Rain on Dancing Petals"

Another watercolor of mine. Like the Insanity piece, I blew the paint for a cool effect because I was going for an abstracted version of rain, and flowers. Ironically, the day I painted this; it was raining.

This is a self Portrait I did while in my figure drawing class. Back when I was a sophomore. The goal was to use both warm and cool colors to indicate shadow, tone, and Skin. Done in watercolor.

"Another World"

This one of my favorites. This idea of aliens, and other worlds was what sparked me for this drawing. I used vine charcoal to sketch out the drawing first. Then I used charcoal sticks of various weights for my light to dark tones. The white of the paper is erase marks. This is called: Reductive drawing.

"Bleeding Insanity"

This was done in water color. I sat there thinking: "What could I paint today?" I had many inspirations. One of them is my favorite villain, The Joker. I blew the paint while it was wet to create the lightning/streak effects.

This was done in both ink and gouache paints. I was not inspired by the movie: "The Grudge but rather the black plague, innocent, and abandonment of something or someone.

Evil Hero

I love the character Chiro from the show: "Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go! I took the main character and decided to make him look and feel evil. This was done all in Photoshop CS5 and because I don't have a tablet, I used a mouse. The effects are mostly from using the smug tool in photoshop. I studied his character from what he wears in his hero mode and took my own take on that.

What I have Lost (Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha Younger)

Like my other Naruto and Sasuke piece, this was done in photoshop. With this, I thought of emotions and how could I convey emotions of these two characters in this picture using emotions that I go through. When emotions came into play, I thought of color and placement of where the two boys show go. The emotions that I was trying to convey was, loneliness, friendship, and darkness.

Hidden Within Our Darkness (Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha)

Another little project that I was working on in Photoshop in my spare time. Naruto doesn't belong to me but I made the picture in a version that I can call my own.... So many things I took in account for this picture. Such as lighting, negative space, the color, etc.

Afro Samurai (Photoshop)

Done in photoshop at home for practice on my skills. This took me about.. 4 hours.. But it was totally worth it. I also don't own Afro Samurai but it's a really good series... If you can't see the writing clearly, it says: "The Path of the Samurai is a Cursed One..."

Cut Short... (Tim Burton Inspiration)

Last semester in my art class, my teacher took our class to the MoMa to see the Tim Burton Exhibit. It was so fun!!!This piece was actually homework in which you had to incorporate Tim Burton's style while using your own and so this was the result... I used watercolors and black gouache paint. As you can see, I used mostly dark colors to convey the spooky attribute I was going for. This has to be my favorite painting.

Celebrity Composition (Tom Felton)

I love Harry Potter. Mainly Draco Malfoy... In my first semester of College, in my Digital Theory class, we had to pick a celebrity and using by that celebrity, compose a photo of us interacting with them. I selected this one because of the color scheme and how I could play around with that. This was all done in photoshop. I used a handy trick called the Dodge Tool in Photoshop to make highlights on my face, arms, and hair. This way, it looks like I'm in the same light as Draco Malfoy.( Tom Felton.) I also played around with the levels, warm and cool colors, and high saturation of my picture to match that of the photo.

Happy/Sad Mask

I love this painting! It was around the ime when I was experimenting with different materials and I found one that I really enjoyed using! (Watercolors!) The purpose for this painting was due to a negative mood I was in. One side is a happy, care-free girl, but the otherside is a more melancholy and sad girl. I put tape on the sad girl's mouth to show how she can't verbally say what she truly feels. I also used different colors with different intensities to show the emotions better... Bright colors for the happier side and dull colors for the sad side.

My Self Portrait

This is a self Portrait of me that I did way back in my senior year of high school. At first, it didn't look like this but as I became a better artist, I shaded certain areas of my face instead of smuging. I also added pupils to my eyes. (I looked souless the first time I did this!)
